These bowls are much smaller than you think. Great dishes (although a bit heavy) however after three shipments and free replacements we still ended up with more than half the dishes broken. Whomever packed the box did not put enough packing around the dishes (and they are weigthty)so each of the three shipments came with half the dishes smashed. Target CS was great and replaced but what a hassle.
